Feast Your Eyes On This Amazing Sight!

The view from the canopy tour. Oct. 13, 2011.
This weekend is going to start our peak week for fall colors in the Harpers Ferry area. As leaves begin to loose green chlorophyll, the bright green signs of summer begins to fade into vibrant yellow and orange colors.

As more time passes, you'll begin to see bright reds and purples in trees such as maples. Sunlight combined with cooler autumn nights cause the leaves to change the glucose inside of them into a red color. You'll notice more of a brown color in oaks is due to waste that is left in the leaves.

The best view by far of the foliage in Harpers Ferry is from the Harpers Ferry Canopy Tour itself! Our zip line offers a gorgeous panorama above the trees. The view stretches all the way to the historic Hill Top House in downtown Harpers Ferry.
As we get closer to the peak off Fall,
the colors become more vibrant.

Where are You Spending Your Next Family Reunion?

At River Riders, our sole mission is to provide remarkable experiences. We love meeting new guests and their families.

Over the years, we've had the pleasure of watching families come together and spend a day participating in our many thrilling adventures!

From a day trip to a weekend camping by the river, we're here to ensure that you and yours make memories.

We are proud to announce the beginning of a new adventure for friends and families - The Adventure Inn.

Today we are beginning renovations on what will be our second vacation rental home! The home can be found on Alstadts Hill Rd, which is the same street where River Riders and our first vacation rental is located. The property needs a lot of work, but our general contractor, Smitty, and his crew are ready to do what it takes to give it the perfect make over. When this new vacation home is completed, it will comfortably sleep up to 14 guests! We've got an exciting winter with a lot of work ahead of us!

Keep up-to-date with River Riders and plan the perfect family and friends' get-a-way in The Adventure Inn!

Zombie Walk October 8th in Harpers Ferry

This Saturday we will be offering a later departure for our Haunted Canopy Tour to Zombie Walk participants. We know you want to keep the creepy vibe alive...or dead!?! The Zombie Walk will begin at the Haunted Cottage at 42 Old Taylor Lane near the Harpers Ferry KOA, where our pal Vince will lead the dead on a walk that will end at River Riders. Participants are asked to bring a non perishable food item to donate to the local food bank. This is an effort to help hungry families for the holiday season. For more information, check out the link or give us a call at River Riders!

In other news, today Amanda G, Sheryl, and Christy have been working on data entry, while Tim and Robert repair tubes in the shop. Kenia and Josh got to go out on a zip trip for a group that walked in. We're all jealous they get to play outside!
